Olwam Mnqwazi
Founding Chairperson
Olwam Mnqwazi is a self-published author and the Managing Director of the Black Hat Group, a Research and Leadership Development agency based in Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa. He is also the founder and chairperson of the Fruits of Democracy, an NPO recognising youth excellence and public engagement in the Eastern Cape. Olwam is currently busy with his MA in Development Studies with the University of South Africa. He holds a BA degree majoring in Public Administration and Industrial & Organisational Psychology, as well as BA Honours in Development Studies from Nelson Mandela University.

Asanda Mlata
Director of Operations
Asanda Mlata obtained her Marketing B-Tech from NMU and never saw herself being where she is today. In 2010 she started working as the Gallery Assistant at ArtEC Gallery where she became the Gallery Manager in 2012. Being exposed to the art world she fell in love with all forms of creativity and never looked back. Her dream of growing in the creative industry was launched when she got employed by the Numb City Productions as the Athenaeum Project Manager in February 2014, which got her adopted by the MBDA as the Athenaeum’s Facilities Coordinator from 2015 till present.

Anele Dloto
Director of Logistics &Â Technology
ANELE DLOTO is a PhD Candidate and a Sociology Lecturer at the University of Fort Hare. Previously, he served as a researcher in community education at the centre for post-school education and training as well as at the Research Chair of Youth Employment, Empowerment and Employability at the Nelson Mandela University. Anele holds a National Diploma in Business Management, B Tech in Management majoring in financial management and strategic management, a BA Honours Degree in Sociology, his major where sociology of education and political sociology. He currently has a Sociology Masters from the University of Johannesburg where his thesis was on Solidarity Economy. He is the Executive Director at Tinashe Media company.

Sesethu Gqomo Seyibokwe
Director of Communications & Media
SESETHU GQOMO SEYIBOKWE, Founder and Owner of Sesethu Gqomo Communications and National Co-Ordinator for InkuluFreeHeid is proud to be a partner of Fruits of Democracy for its third year running. Her career spans over several years in the Communications and Marketing spaces from the 2010 World Cup, to the Marketing Practioner of several institutions and lecturing at Varsity College and NMU respectively. She believes that creating a legacy is leaving something better than you found it.
